The Girl Scout Leadership Experience
Leadership is the cornerstone of the Girl Scout movement. The Girl Scout Leadership
Experience models authentic and purposeful leadership, allowing girls to develop their
own strong sense of self and their own leadership style. Within the Girl Scout Leadership
Experience, there are three keys to leadership that engage girls to:

Discover: Girls understand themselves and their values and use their knowledge
to explore their world.
Connect: Girls care about, inspire and team with others locally and globally.
Take Action: Girls act to make the world a better place.

Girl Scout Promise

On my honor, I will try:
To serve God* and my country,
To help people at all times,
And, to live by the Girl Scout Law.

* The word “God” can be interpreted in a number of ways, depending on one’s spiritual beliefs. When reciting the Girl Scout Promise, it is okay to replace the word “God” with whatever word your spiritual beliefs dictate.
